Who I Work With

A person partially submerged in water, holding onto a life ring with black hair covering their face.

You’re the one who holds everything together.

The one people depend on.
The one who keeps things moving.

From the outside, you look capable.
Reliable. In control.

But internally, it can feel very different.

Your mind rarely switches off.
You carry the mental load for everyone around you.
You overthink. Push through. Keep going.

You may be experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, panic attacks, emotional exhaustion, or the feeling that everything only works because you are holding it together.

You’re used to being the responsible one.
The strong one.
The one who copes.

But underneath that, you may feel emotionally stretched, constantly “on”, exhausted by overthinking, or disconnected from yourself.

You may be so used to prioritising everyone else’s needs that it has become difficult to recognise your own.

Some of the women I work with also experience high-functioning anxiety, ADHD overwhelm, autistic masking, or the exhaustion that can come from appearing fine externally while struggling internally.

You may have spent years functioning this way quietly.

Still working.
Still parenting.
Still showing up.

While internally feeling anxious, emotionally overloaded, close to burnout, or unable to fully rest.

At some point, it stops feeling sustainable.

Therapy can become a space where you no longer have to hold everything alone.

Cup of tea with the words “Take your time”, representing rest, reflection and emotional space.

How I Work

My work is thoughtful and structured, focusing on what sits beneath your current experience.

Together, we look at how you think, feel and relate, and begin to understand why certain emotional patterns may keep repeating.

This can include exploring anxiety, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, identity, emotional responses, and the roles you have learned to take on within relationships, family and wider contexts.

I work integratively, meaning therapy is tailored to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

My work is also informed by Transactional Analysis, a therapeutic approach that helps us understand emotional patterns, coping styles, relationships, and the ways past experiences can continue shaping us over time.

Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what has felt difficult to shift on your own.

Over time, this can lead to change that feels more grounded, sustainable, and connected to who you are beneath the pressure of constantly holding everything together.

  • This is steady, consistent work that unfolds over time.

“Before therapy, I was struggling with anxiety, panic attacks and a poor self-image. Working with Amna helped me understand the roots of my anxiety and I now feel calmer, more grounded, and able to go about my day without the same overwhelming sense of dread."

“Being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult left me feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to understand myself. Therapy helped me make sense of things in a way that felt both validating and practical. I’m less critical of myself now and better able to manage day-to-day life.”

“When I first started, I was struggling with intrusive thoughts and a strong need for control, which was affecting many areas of my life. Through our work together, I’ve developed a much better understanding of how my mind works and feel more able to manage situations that would have previously felt overwhelming. I feel calmer and far less consumed by my thoughts.”
